Tuberville Statement on Denis McDonough Confirmation as Secretary of Veterans’ Affairs

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) released the following statement after the Senate’s vote to confirm Denis McDonough as the Secretary of Veterans’ Affairs:

“We have to do better by those who fought for our freedoms, and that starts with improving the services they receive from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. I spoke with Denis McDonough earlier today and was encouraged by his personal pledge to improve services for the more than 370,000 veterans who call Alabama home. While we may disagree from time to time on the policy, we share the same goal, and I will work with Secretary McDonough to push for greater access to the high-quality care and services our veterans deserve.

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
