WASHINGTON (WSFA) – Thirty Alabama high school and prep school students have been nominated by U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-AL, to attend United State service academies, including the U.S Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, and U.S. Naval Academy, as a part of the class of 2028.
The nominees, who must be residents of Alabama, undergo an extensive application process to receive a nomination. They must complete the required ACT and SAT exams, and provide letters of recommendation, a school transcript, along with the required application form.
“In a time of global instability, our military needs brave young men and women to ensure America continues to have the strongest fighting force in the world,” said Sen. Tuberville “It’s an honor to nominate these great Alabamians to our United States service academies. I am thankful for their desire to serve and defend our country. I look forward to following their continued success and know they will continue to make our state proud.”
Tuberville is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
