As soon as President Trump announced that Kash Patel will serve as the next FBI Director, the usual suspects started panicking. The establishment, mainstream media, and deep state operatives were petrified. Immediately pundits rushed to label Kash Patel as “dangerous” and “alarming.”When D.C. melts down over a nominee announcement, you’re right over the target.
By selecting Kash Patel to be the ninth Director of the FBI, President Trump is cementing his legacy as the President of the American people, not the swamp. Kash will restore integrity and accountability to the halls of the FBI. He will bring truth and transparency, uphold the rule of law and the Constitution, and protect Americans against its enemies, foreign and domestic.
It’s no secret that reform at the FBI is long overdue. It’s amusing to hear concerns coming from D.C. insiders about Kash Patel’s fitness for the Bureau. Let me remind the uniparty establishment and mainstream media of the actually “dangerous” and “alarming” actions taken by the FBI over the last several years.
Let’s start with the FBI under the leadership of James Comey and then Christopher Wray, which spied on President Trump’s campaign in 2016 and worked to undermine him again on his 2020 campaign. The FBI’s anti-American activity didn’t end when President Trump left office, as the FBI conducted an unprecedented raid on President Trump’s private home in Florida.
Further, rather than addressing rising crime across the United States as a result of Joe Biden’s open border and lax enforcement practices in Democrat-led cities, the FBI used taxpayer dollars to investigate parents who attended local school board meetings, as well as to target traditionalist Catholic parishes. Not one of these events supports the mission of the FBI, which is to protect the American people and uphold the U.S. Constitution.
The FBI has also retaliated against whistleblowers for speaking out about wrongdoing at the Bureau. This is an FBI that has insisted that right-wing extremism is ascendant in America (it’s not), while downplaying Antifa’s violent, illegal acts, which, in fact, are terrorizing Americans. The list of criminal malpractice is too long to include everything here.
It’s clear to the American people that the culture at the top of the Bureau is rotten. We need a director who is unafraid to make much-needed changes at the FBI. Moving the FBI headquarters out of the swamp and to the defense powerhouse—and rightful home of the U.S. Space Command—in Huntsville, Alabama, could be a good start. And Kash is just the reform-minded leader we need to shake things up at the FBI.
Not only is Kash Patel reform-minded, but he is also immensely qualified for the role. In the previous Trump administration, Kash served as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense and as Deputy Director of National Intelligence where he oversaw all seventeen intelligence agencies. Kash also served President Trump as a Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council.
Before working in the Trump administration, Kash was a National Security Advisor and Senior Counsel on the House Select Committee on Intelligence where he exposed the Russia Hoax for the deep state operation it really was. Before that, Kash spent eight years as a public defender in state and federal court, before becoming a prosecutor for the DOJ’s National Security Division. Kash also served as the DOJ Liaison Officer to Joint Special Operations Command.
Of course, while being reform-minded and qualified is crucial for the role of FBI Director, there’s another characteristic that can’t be overlooked: courage. This is the missing ingredient of so many so-called “reformers” that have come and gone in this town without changing anything. President Trump embodies this characteristic. Kash does too.
Anyone who knows the history of American intelligence agencies should not take lightly what Kash Patel did with the Nunes Memo, exposing the Russia Hoax. As Senator Schumer said, if “you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.” Kash knew he needed to do what was right, at great personal risk, and did it anyway. That’s courage.
I’ve been following Kash’s work for quite some time now. I’ve always been impressed with his ability to articulate the problems plaguing the country we love. The FBI has been the source of many of our problems in recent years. When I met with Kash earlier this week, it only confirmed to me that he is the right man for this moment. He is exactly the kind of person America needs to clean up the FBI and ensure that the government works for the American people, not the other way around. Kash was made for this role, and I look forward to supporting his confirmation vote.
