WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville joined “Mornings with Maria” to discuss the impeachment of U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. For weeks, Senator Tuberville has been a vocal leader in calling for Secretary Mayorkas to receive a full and fair trial.

BARTIROMO: “Joining me now is Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville, a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs and Health Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. Senator, it’s great to see you this morning.”
TUBERVILLE: “Good morning.”
BARTIROMO: “Thanks very much for being here. Can you explain to us what’s going on there in the Senate? Did Chuck Schumer say he’s going to table this thing this weekend?”
TUBERVILLE: “Well, first of all, 1,175 days ago, the destruction of our country started by these globalists. And from day one, they changed everything that Donald Trump did at the border—which was working. He doesn’t need any more laws. But yes, Chuck Schumer wants to get this to Thursday or Friday where everybody knows at the weekend you don’t want to stay up here if you don’t have to. So, they wanted a very short timetable in terms of when to bring this trial to a vote, which they will vote against. We wanted to move it to Monday. So, we finally got our leadership to make a call to the House, Mike Johnson. They moved it to Monday to send articles over, so we’ll have a whole week next week in which to talk about this, to go after these people that have absolutely destroyed our country. And it’s by design. And it’s not just Mayorkas who should be impeached here.

“They see power, Maria, they see power and votes coming across the border every day. I think it’s going to backfire on them. But that’s all they care about. If you look at what they’ve done in terms of the deaths in this country, from fentanyl, to murders, to rapes, to human trafficking, it is a tragedy.

“The American people are going to remember this, they’re going to go the ballot box, I don’t care if they’re Democrats—you’re going to have a lot of people in the Democratic Party say enough is enough for these people, because they’re really not Democrats. They’re progressive leftist, socialist, globalists that want to change our country to something else, and we refuse to do it. We’re going to fight every day. We need that trial next week—not just one little vote, but we need a trial. We need people brought to the floor and testify on what they did and what they did wrong, because it is absolutely against everything that this country believes in.”
BARTIROMO: “Well, what is that trial going to get you? You’re still going to have the same resistance from the Democrats. I mean, even President Biden is misleading the American people all day today and yesterday—at least—saying that he’s examining what kind of power he has. We all know the Commander-in-Chief has the power of the pen and the executive order and we all know that he had more than 90 executive orders that he overturned when he first walked into the White House in 2021, including all of Donald Trump’s security at the border.”
TUBERVILLE: “Yeah, if you look at this, Maria—Mayorkas, if we did have a trial, he’d have to come testify on what he did and how he did it. He has looked at me in the face three or four times in the last three years and said ‘Our border is closed.’ Lying just straight to your face. I don’t know whether the guy’s either all on board with all this globalist stuff or he’s just absolutely stupid because he has followed the party line and he’s going to go down.

And they’re going to push him in front of the bus. But Chuck Schumer, all the administration over in the White House, they’re going to throw him to the wolves and then they’re going to say ‘It was all his fault. We didn’t have anything to do with this.’ You can see this coming. But they’re all guilty of this because they’re globalists. They want no borders, but they want power. It’s all about the power and the power of the purse here in Washington D.C.”
BARTIROMO: “Even with the threats to our national security, even with people getting murdered?”
TUBERVILLE: “They could care less, Maria. They could care less. You can just look at this Laken Riley situation. Joe Biden, you know, that should have been the first phone call made but this guy could care less. But again, they’ve got—the Democrats have a puppet in the White House, they can control.

“They want power. They’re all in it for the power. Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer have been up here way too long. They need to go home and give it to somebody that really cares about this country instead of caring about the purse.”
