ICYMI: Tuberville Joins Kudlow to Discuss Afghanistan, Democrats’ Reckless Tax & Spend Spree

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined Fox Business’ Kudlow to discuss the news that a drone strike the Biden Administration previously called a success did not hit any terrorists. Senator Tuberville also spoke about how Democrats’ reckless tax and spend spree, with a price tag of $3.5 trillion dollars, will cost the American taxpayer, fund far-left policies, and add to inflation.

Excerpts from Senator Tuberville’s interview can be found below, and the full interview can be found here.

On the Need for On-the-Ground Military Intelligence:

“You can’t run a military without surveillance. You got to have intel on the ground. They got to be there 24 hours a day, and it’s just unfortunate. You know, this is another chapter in the book of how not to retreat from a terrorist country, and running a skeleton crew and then making a guess – and this was obviously a guess – there was a bomb in this car, or this house, whatever they bombed, you gotta feel for the people… you can’t run a war on a skeleton crew and you don’t take your army out before you get everybody else out, or we wouldn’t have gotten anybody killed. It would have come out a lot better if we’d done it the right way.”

On the Drone Strike:

This has been a couple weeks since it happened. It’s been out there. The truth has been there. We’re just now hearing this. It should have been out a lot earlier, unfortunately, we didn’t get that information. But again, it’s just a sad tale, and we’ve still got Americans behind enemy lines and still got people there we got to get out and it’s just unfortunate that Joe Biden ‘s trying to flip the page to the vaccine mandates and all other things, other than the story at hand.”

On the Economic Impact of Democrats’ Reckless Tax and Spend Spree:

“….Once you start down these entitlements you can’t ever take them back. It’s almost impossible. And there’s some things – some need things out there – but for $3.5 trillion as we speak and really it’s more than $3.5 trillion, it’ll end up being $5 trillion, you know, you put all of this together, and we’re throwing so much money out there nobody wants to go back to work. In Alabama right now, we’re the 11th most labor short state in the country, and we’re trying to get people to go back to work we’re having businesses go out of business, but there’s no incentives from Joe Biden. It’s all about giving instead of incentivizing people to go to work, make a plan, do the things you’re supposed to do to help the country get going again, but all these hand-outs are going to put us under. They are absolutely going to put us under. Inflation already is sky high. It’s going to get worse. Just keep the tax plan that you and President Trump put in, just keep us on that same direction, and if we would do that, if Joe Biden would just listen instead of listening to all his buddies about giving everything away, turning it into big government socialism state, then we’d be much, much better off.”

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
