Tuberville, Graham Celebrate “Religious Education Week”

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in cosponsoring a resolution designating October 6-12, 2024 as “Religious Education Week” to emphasize the importance of religious education and celebrate the schools and organizations engaged in religious education.

“Education is the key that unlocks opportunity,” said Senator Tuberville. “Every child in America ought to have the option of going to a religious school. There’s a myth out there that our Founders wanted to keep God out of the public square. That just isn’t true. This country was built on love of God, love of country, and love of family.”

Joining U.S. Senators Tuberville and Graham are U.S. Senators John Barrasso (R-WY), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Mike Braun (R-IN), Katie Britt (R-AL), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), John Cornyn (R-TX), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Mike Crapo (R-ID), Steve Daines (R-MT), Bill Hagerty (R-TN), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS), John Kennedy (R-LA), James Lankford (R-OK), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), Jim Risch (R-ID), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Rick Scott (R-FL), Tim Scott (R-SC), Roger Wicker (R-MS), and Todd Young (R-IN) in cosponsoring the resolution.
