WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) in reintroducing the Employee Rights Act of 2025, legislation that seeks to strengthen and protect the rights of American workers while ensuring fairness and accountability in the workplace. This bill represents the Republican vision for the American workforce: promoting opportunity, protecting workers’ rights and privacy, and creating a strong foundation for innovation and growth.
“The Biden administration imposed crushing regulations that put American workers last and sent jobs overseas,” said Sen. Tuberville. “Thanks to President Trump, American jobs are coming back in droves. But we have to make sure we have a pro-business regulatory environment that will ensure accountability and empower workers to thrive.”
“We must continue to empower Americans to work hard, earn a living, and provide for their families while creating a labor system that is fair, transparent, and responsive to the needs of today’s workforce,” said Sen. Scott. “I’m proud to lead legislation that provides workers with the necessary tools and protections to build a stronger, more prosperous workforce.”
Sens. Tuberville and Scott were joined by Sens. John Barrasso (R-WY), Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Mike Crapo (R-ID), John Hoeven (R-ND), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS), and Jim Risch (R-ID) in introducing the legislation. Congressman Rick Allen (R-GA-12) introduced the companion legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives.
