Tuberville Joins Colleagues in Honoring 5th Anniversary of NAS Pensacola Terrorist Attack

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) in announcing their resolution remembering the lives lost in the terrorist attack at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola passed the Senate. On December 6, 2019, a Saudi military trainee killed three U.S. Navy sailors and wounded several others.

“Ensign Joshua Kaleb Watson is a hero who showed incredible courage in the face of terrorism on Dec. 6, 2019,” said Senator Tuberville. “His bravery and quick action saved countless lives on a tragic day for our nation. Ensign Watson’s sacrifice showcases the very best of American patriotism, and Alabama is proud to call him one of ours. It’s an honor to help introduce this resolution every year to help keep his memory alive. Today, we remember him, and pray for his loved ones who still grieve his loss.”

Senators Tuberville and Scott are joined by U.S. Senators Katie Britt (R-AL), Jon Ossoff (D-GA), Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Raphael Warnock (D-GA) in co-sponsoring the resolution.
