Tuberville Meets with General CQ Brown

WASHINGTON — Today U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) met with General Charles Q. Brown, Chief of Staff of the Air Force and President Biden’s nominee to serve as the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

“I want to thank General Brown for the meeting today,” Senator Tuberville said. “We had a productive conversation about the state of our military and the ways that Congress can support our warfighters through the upcoming defense bill. I’m deeply grateful for General Brown’s lifetime of service to this nation and I look forward to his hearing tomorrow.”

Senator Tuberville and General Brown met today in Senator Tuberville’s Senate office, where they discussed their shared desire to keep politics out of the military, their effort to improve housing for sailors and airmen, and the need to improve military recruitment. Senator Tuberville thanked General Brown for his service to this country.

General Brown is scheduled to testify before the Senate Armed Services Committee tomorrow.

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
