WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) today announced his nomination of 48 high and preparatory school students to multiple United States service academies including the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and U.S. Naval Academy as part of the class of 2027. This is Senator Tuberville’s second round of nominations since assuming office. A complete list of Senator Tuberville’s nominees for the class of 2027 can be found below.
“I’m proud to nominate these distinguished Alabama students to our nation’s service academies,” said Senator Tuberville. “These young leaders’ desire to serve gives me hope for the future of our military. There’s no doubt they will continue to push our country forward, protecting our freedom here at home and promoting stability abroad.”
Service academy nominees must be residents of Alabama and undergo an extensive application process to receive a nomination. Applicants must complete the required ACT and SAT exams, provide letters of recommendation, and a school transcript, along with the required application form.
