Tuberville Pledges to Oppose All Biden Appointees Until Rule of Law is Restored

WASHINGTON  U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) is taking action to fight back against the Biden administration’s blatant weaponization of the judicial system. Sen. Tuberville joined his colleagues in a pledge vowing to vote against any additional non-security related funding, judicial or political nominees, or legislation that helps Joe Biden and Democrats advance their mission of tearing the country apart. This comes as the White House has continued to show contempt for the rule of law by weaponizing the judicial system against their top political opponent.

Senator Tuberville was joined by Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Mike Lee (R-UT), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Rick Scott (R-FL), and J.D. Vance (R-OH) in making the pledge.

Read the pledge below or here.

“The White House has made a mockery of the rule of law and fundamentally altered our politics in un-American ways. As a Senate Republican conference, we are unwilling to aid and abet this White House in its project to tear this country apart. To that end, we will not 1) allow any increase to non-security related funding for this administration, or any appropriations bill which funds partisan lawfare; 2) vote to confirm this administration’s political and judicial appointees; and 3) allow expedited consideration and passage of Democrat legislation or authorities that are not directly relevant to the safety of the American people,” the senators wrote.

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
