Victims include Ensign Joshua Kaleb Watson of Enterprise
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) today helped introduce a resolution recognizing the fourth anniversary of the December 6, 2019, terrorist attack at Naval Air Station Pensacola. Twenty-three-year-old Ensign Joshua Kaleb Watson, an Enterprise, Alabama native, was among the three who lost their lives when a Saudi Arabian pilot opened fire at the base. Despite being shot multiple times, Ensign Watson directed the first response team to the shooter’s location, helping save countless lives.
“Ensign Watson embodied the spirit of American heroism, standing tall in the face of terrorism to save others — even at the expense of his own life,” said Senator Tuberville. “His courage and quick action saved countless lives on a tragic day for our nation. Today, we pray for his family, friends, and fellow soldiers who still grieve the absence of a life taken too soon. We will continue to share Joshua Kaleb Watson’sstory of patriotism, service, and sacrifice, to ensure his memory lives on forever.”
Joining Senator Tuberville in sponsoring the resolution are U.S. Senators Rick Scott (R-FL), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Katie Britt (R-AL), Jon Ossoff (D-GA), and Raphael Warnock (D-GA).
