Tuberville Statement on Durham Filing

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) released the following statement in response to the court filing by Special Counsel John Durham:

“When you see smoke, you need to find out if there’s fire. The information in Special Counsel Durham’s court filing raises concerns, including whether data being monitored during the Trump campaign and administration was illegally used for political purposes. We need to find out how long this practice lasted and who knew about it, and make that information public for the American people.”

“This filing does not need to be swept under the rug. Getting to the bottom of this is important to the strength of our democracy and the integrity of the executive office of the president, regardless if the President is a Democrat or a Republican. I applaud Mr. Durham for continuing to pursue this investigation, and he should continue to follow the facts where they lead.”

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
