WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) released the following statement after the Senate’s vote to confirm Marty Walsh as the Secretary of Labor:
“The quickest way for our country to recover from the economic hardship of the pandemic is to get folks back to work. There are many jobs that go unfilled because we don’t have enough skilled workers to take them. The Department of Labor can play a key role in job-training programs for our country, and I will be making sure Mr. Walsh and the Department make workforce development a priority. While I’m sure there will be various disagreements on policy, I will work with Mr. Walsh to get Americans back to work.”
