WASHINGTON – In case you missed it: beginning in February of 2023, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) recognized Alabama Veterans of the Month for their service to our military and Alabama’s local communities.
“Alabama is home to more than 400,000 veterans who bravely answered the call to defend our country,” said Senator Tuberville. “Even though they’re no longer in uniform, many are still serving our communities in remarkable ways. They deserve to be recognized more than just on Veterans Day. It is an honor to recognize heroes who call Alabama home. I look forward to sharing more of their stories in the upcoming year.”

- February: Dawn Smith of Notasulga, AL
- March: Jimmy Sullivan of Foley, AL
- April: Jason Guyton of Toney, AL
- May: James Barnes of Abbeville, AL
- June: Donna Johnson of Birmingham, AL
